Glasgow has become one of the best locations to see filming locations for your favourite film and television series. I’ll be breaking down some of the best to see in the Glasgow area, allowing you to live out your main character energy.
1 – Osprey Heights, 76 Collina St, Maryhill, Glasgow (Still Game) Jack and Victors Flat

Yes, the iconic tower block. Used for the exterior shots of the equally iconic duo, it can be found nested by the canal at Maryhill Locks.
2 – 17 Kennedy Path, Glasgow (Still Game) Navid’s Shop

Located just 500 meters north of the Union, the iconic corner shop from Still Game can be easily visited. The real-life unit is actually a corner shop, though sadly, you won’t find Navid or his elusive wife Meena there.
3 – Govan Graving Docks (1917) Canal crossed by Schofield

That’s right, the nervy scene where Schofield has to cross over a canal while being shot at, was actually filmed just by the Clyde.
4 – OVO Hydro (Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga) Contest Venue

Just across the river is another location. Despite the film claiming it was in Edinburgh, the 14,300-capacity arena is definitely in Glasgow (Trust me I’ve been).
5 – George Square and surrounding streets (World War Z) Philadelphia Scenes

It’s okay, no undead flesh eaters are out to get you in the city centre. Despite this, the city centre of Glasgow was used as a double for World War Z’s Philadelphia. Watch closely and you can spot Strathclyde’s Royale Collage Building in the background of a shot.
6 – Glasgow Necropolis and Cathedral (The Batman) Funeral and Gotham Cemetery Scenes
Yes, filmmakers seem to love Glasgow’s gothic architecture, often using it as a double act for many northeastern cities from the States. In this case, our very own Necropolis (pictured above) played home to the fictional DC city of Gotham.
