Meet the Team

Editorial Leadership

Hey everyone! I’m Julia Braun Raven, a Journalism, Media & Communication and English & Creative Writing student, and I’m so excited to be returning as Editor-in-Chief for 2026/27! After an amazing year with the Telegraph, I can’t wait to work with an even bigger team, champion new voices, and keep making the Strathclyde Telegraph a vibrant, creative, and welcoming space for students to share their stories, ideas, and passions.

Hi I’m Neil Singer, I’m a second year student studying Journalism, Media and Communication, with Social Policy. This year I have the role of culture editor, and I am thrilled to share my passion for the section due to its wide variety of topics.

Section Editors

Hi, I’m Erin Love, a (going into) third-year English and History student. I love to read, and I can’t wait to expand our creative section!

Hi, I’m Lizzie Brooker, a third-year English and Creative Writing student from Aberdeenshire. I’m very excited to continue running the Lifestyle section. I love everything food-related, which is why I chose this section. I can’t wait to read all the different submitted articles and continue to grow the section into an engaging space.

Hello! My name is Josh Burns. I’m a second-year journalism and social policy student. I’ve always liked writing; I’m currently working away on a wee romance novel in my free time, and of course I do plenty of writing for my coursework. I’m very excited to see what I can do at the Strathclyde Telegraph as the Features Editor, and hopefully I’ll get to leave my mark in some way!

Hi, I’m Katie Edgar, Politics Editor and a third-year Journalism and Politics student! I love writing about politics and culture and keeping up with news, but aside from that, I enjoy gaming, especially Nintendo, music and getting coffee with friends:)

Hi, I’m Mia Gray, and I’m studying Journalism, Media and Communication alongside Politics in my 3rd year. I’m excited to be this year’s Culture Editor for film, TV and gaming, so my fellow writers and I can improve our skills through our love of the arts 🙂

Hi, I’m Aoibhin Pearce Glynn. I do English lit creative writing and psychology here at Strath, and I’m the new Arts Editor for the Telegraph. I am really excited to write about the amazing history, arts and literature coming out of this vibrant city.

Hello! I’m Maria Laird, a second-year English & Journalism student and a Music Editor for the Strathclyde Telegraph this year! I also host The Garage Playlist and manage social media and graphics for Fusion Radio.

Hey everyone! I’m Daniel Sutherland, one of the Music Editors at the Strathclyde Telegraph. My aim in this role is to make the Telegraph a platform where local independent artists can get the publicity and recognition that’s often so hard to come by elsewhere. Glasgow is bursting with incredibly talented musicians, and I’m excited to help shine a spotlight on the city’s vibrant music scene and the artists who deserve to be heard!

Hi, my name is Abbie Wamuziri, and I am a fourth-year Psychology and Journalism student. I am excited to be the Strathclyde Telegraph’s first Science, Technology and Health editor. I hope to create an interesting and informative section, and I can’t wait to read what you have written!

Hi, I’m Bee Rosie. I’m going into my second year studying English and Creative Writing with Journalism, Media, and Communication, and I am a reporter for Strath Union News. My favourite things to write about for the Telegraph are music and film.

Hi, I’m Nicole Van Weert, a fourth-year Politics and Journalism student. I’m super excited to join The Telegraph this year as News Editor for both national and international events and stories.

Hey everyone! I’m Liam McBride, Sports Editor at the Strathclyde Telegraph. I’ve previously written for a range of online outlets, including Last Word on Tennis and A Celtic State of Mind, where I still regularly contribute. My interests are tennis, football and Formula One, all of which I’ll look to cover in great detail in this excellent newspaper.

Digital Media Team

Hello everyone, I’m Jason Fong, a fourth-year JMC and English student born in Hong Kong. I am delighted to be returning as Chief Photographer at the Telegraph this year. I’m interested in covering political and cultural stories that make the country we love so unique. Feel free to send me an email to get in touch!

I’m Amy Watson, and I’m always looking to help creatively and expand on ideas for the best outcome. I have a lot of creative experience in my background; creative writing, film, media, radio and television. I am also the Multimedia Manager, responsible for podcast and video content. A lot of my focus is on creating access and making content more accessible for people.

Hi, I am Arthur Wroe-Pattullo, and I study political science and journalism at honours level. I predominantly write political articles for the Strathclyde Telegraph; however, I also love to cover local events and news. I look forward to promoting ST as a new Social Media Manager

Finance Team

Hello, I’m Mattheos Perakis, a second-year business student. I have the privilege of being this year’s Head of Finance, overseeing all things business here at Strathclyde Telegraph.
