VICE PRESIDENT of Services, Cat Morton, is holding a consultation with student on halls of residence. Looking to improve on the student experience, Morton said:
“I know that halls of residence are a very important first step into University life for many students. They provide students with an opportunity to make good friends who are all experiencing the similar situation of entering first year at University, another benefit of staying in halls is that they are well maintained and safe.
“Along with accommodation, the University also provides pastoral care services ensuring that the student’s safety and wellbeing is paramount. I know first-hand from fresher’s week and in particular spending the weekend helping out with halls move-in that both students and parents are grateful for this, giving a good first impression to students and easing hesitant parents’ worries at the same time.
“As an Executive we believe that a student knows what a student needs and therefore we will be running a campaign on student’s experience of Halls of Residence at University of Strathclyde so that we can continue to work with the University to ensure that students are receiving good value for their money and have a great experience while at Strathclyde.”
