Miles Kane is a 37-year-old English rock and roll musician from Wirral, England. After a successful career in bands The Little Flames, The Rascals, and The Last Shadow Puppets, Kane embarked on a solo career. Kane’s most recent release of his 5th album ‘One Man Band’ in 2023 prompted a European tour in 2024, performing the energetic and upbeat album and showcasing his skills as a singer-songwriter and guitarist.

The rock and roll star renewed his love for playing the guitar, a clear focus in his new album with catchy and Britpop-style guitar tracks. Immediately as Kane took the stage at his recent sold-out show at SWG3 Glasgow on February 1st , you could feel the incredible energy fill the room. Opening with his single ‘Troubled Son’, the crowd came to life, bouncing back and forth with Kane’s guitar riffs and catchy lyrics.

From song to song, the crowd only became more engaged with Kane as he became more eccentric and energised. Compared to other modern indie and rock and roll artists, Kane has mastered the classic 90s Britpop sound with authentic Oasis/Arctic Monkeys-like songs filling his albums. Kane’s music struck a profound chord with the Glasgow audience, as he crafted an electric atmosphere with his charismatic dancing and interactions.

As Miles left the stage to prepare for his encore, the crowd impromptu sang the catchy riff from his hit song ‘Come Closer’. When Kane returned to the stage, he expressed his love for the Glasgow crowd, saying, ‘Glasgow, you’ve done it again!’ At the end of his show, Kane and his bassists threw their guitar picks to the crowd and came to the barrier to further connect with his fans.

An extremely energetic crowd combined with Kane, the eccentric and captivating performer, meant for a special night that excites the future of Kane’s career. Specifically, any future tours or shows, as I am confident in predicting Kane will continually perform sold-out shows in a city that engages with his sound and performance so enthusiastically. Kane is not only an extremely talented musician but an extremely talented performer.
