ST Strath Elections 2019 Coverage

With nominations closed and manifestos appearing online, we here at the Strathclyde Telegraph are getting started on our Strath Elections 2019 coverage.

This year, we’ve put together a team of contributors and editors in order to make sure that all students of Strathclyde have more information than ever about election campaigns and policies. The election team will focus on compiling neutral and unbiased information in order to make sure that this year’s election is the best yet.

Throughout the course of the next few weeks we will be interviewing and challenging candidates on their manifestos, looking into their credentials and making sure that everyone has the information needed to make an informed decision.

The last 12 months have shown us that student politics can be so much more than just funny campaign posters. We’ve seen that things can actually get done (say goodbye to graduation fees!), and with the right people in charge we can make so much more progress. Throughout this process our election team will be putting together a list of endorsements based on the information we receive, and these will be released the day before voting begins on 5 March 2019.

Stay tuned as we delve into the realm of student politics and figure out who should be running our student union and why.
