The biggest question of this week is whether Keir Starmer will survive as the Prime Minister until the end of the week, let alone until May.

• The latest YouGov poll reveals that voters favour the SNP, with Reform in second place. Labour sits at a mere 15% voter approval, with 74% of Scots saying they have an unfavourable opinion of Keir Starmer. With Starmer on the rocks after the resignation of his chief of staff and director of communications this week, the Prime Minister’s job is in danger.

• Anas Sarwar is expected to call for Keir Starmer’s resignation today. Is this an attempt to get Scottish Labour voters on his side before the election? If Sarwar does break from Starmer, their relationship will be ruined, and both of their political futures will be left uncertain.

• Sarwar has controversially pledged to ban transgender women from female prisons to ensure prisons are “single-sex, based on biological sex”.

• Your Party has announced at their conference in Dundee that they will be running in the Scottish Elections and have declared that they are a pro-independence party.

• Despite six SNP MSPs rebelling, the Scottish Parliament has voted against the Prostitution Bill, which would have decriminalised the act of paying for sex.

The next week is crucial for Keir Starmer and Anas Sarwar. With 87 days left until the election, the pressure for the parties to gain voters’ support is mounting.
