Up and coming band, Harry & The Hendersons, performed at a charity event in Glasgow’s City Chambers in support of The Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice on November 8th. The 12 piece band’s sound was filled with soulful harmonies and upbeat melodies adding to the buzzing atmosphere of the event. The unique sound of the band was compelling and kept the crowd lively – with catchy tunes taking influence from the likes of Paul Simon and The Band. The song “All My Money’s Spent These Days” was a particular favourite of mine and seemed to strike a rather relatable chord to some of the crowd. Full of variety, Harry and the Hendersons continued with a more mellow sound, including their single “New York’s Lost Island of Lepers.” The energy and talent of the band was clear – combining 12 people to create one distinct sound which is something rare in today’s music industry. The overall evening was a huge success raising a total of £13,485.
